KELLY CARITHERS

Kelly Carithers, a native Arkansan, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. She earned her B.A. in political science in 1977 and her J.D. in 1980, both from the University of Arkansas. Following graduation, she worked as a public defender in Pulaski County and in four years time tried over 50 jury trials and 350 bench trials.

In 1985 Kelly joined the Davis Law Firm in Fayetteville, where she practiced exclusively as a civil defense litigator. For over 35 years she has specialized in defending hospitals, doctors, nurses, and healthcare providers.

Kelly also maintains an active practice area of employment law representing and advising employers and corporations.

In 2020, Kelly, Colin Johnson, and Drew Devenport formed CJD Law Firm with offices in Fayetteville and Springdale, Arkansas.

Kelly has been recognized by her peers and the Arkansas Supreme Court for her outstanding service to her clients and the legal community. She was appointed to the Arkansas State Board of Law Examiners. She has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Arkansas School of Law, focusing on civil litigation.

Kelly is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell and is regularly listed in Best Lawyers in America and Mid-South Super Lawyers. Her memberships include Washington County and Arkansas Bar Association, and the Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel.
